I'm a college student right now but will be enlisting in the military following graduation. I have a lot of options and I am physically fit enough to try for: Green Beret, ParaRescue, and SEAL. No, I have no idea which one, they're all so incredible. I hope that when I get out of the military that I can work for the CIA as an operative, so this is the biggest decision-making factor for me: the best force to get me there. If there is anybody that could help out a young 19 year-old make his mind up, it would be so well appreciated.

well I'll try and help from my limited experiance. First off if you're tryin for a CIA job later on you need to look at their mission. Its most similar to the SF if you're looking to be an operations officer, getting contacts, training up soldiers, etc. But they also have different units that are para military that I've heard about that who specialize in different areas like land, water and so on. So these teams have both SEALs and Army guys.. but remember I'm by no means an expert or anything near it. As far as Pararescue goes, I have nothing but the utmost respect for the guys. These guys are pt studs and go thru one hell of a pipeline. But they specialize in search and rescue so I'm not sure how that would transfer over to the CIA. But you do get some really outstanding training in the air land and sea. They all go to combat diver, halo, airborne and medic school.. very highly trained. So I hope this helped.

That was very helpful sir, thank you. I think, based on what I have researched, that I might be signing with the Army. They are offering a Special Force recruit contract to me with OTS as a fallback. It definately seems like the best entry into the CIA...so I hope it works out. Any other thoughts that you (or anyone else reading) could offer me on my career path? I need as much information as possible, the more the better.
