I am fully prepared to be told that I shouldn't be asking this question because I am getting ahead of myself, or that I will learn the answer when I get to BUD/S; but I just can't resist the oppurtunity to use my resources.

During "mask appreciation" drills, when trainees wear masks full of water, how do they keep the water from entering their nose and running down the back of their throats? Do you just breath out of your nose constantly to keep the water out? I've heard (on this forum) of one student who either DOR'd or was made to leave BUD/S because of this. Thanks.

You don't, you just deal with it. It's mildly uncomfortable, not a big deal.
