hey im doing a research paper on recon snipers and i was wonder if anyone wanted answer some questions.
1.why did decide to becomea recon sniper?
2. what types of classes in high school? college?
3. what type of post-high school training or degree would i need for the type of work you do?
4. how long did you have to go school after high school to prepare for your current career?
5. what does a recon sniper make a per year?
6. on average how many hours do you work per week?
7. what do like the most about your career? least?
8. is there anything about your career i should know that i didnt ask you?

Q1.why did decide to becomea recon sniper?
A1 - We didn't "decide" back in my day; when it came for Qualification on the firing range, we were given 300 rounds as a perfect score - I shot a 298 ... the D.I. tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Follow Me". I was placed in a small brick building with 11 other shooters ... only 3 of us passed the finals for Sniper; this hurried my application into Force Recon.
Q2. what types of classes in high school? college?
A2 - You don't have "school classes" for Force Recon / Snipers in public schools.
Q3. what type of post-high school training or degree would i need for the type of work you do?
A3 - Polish your skills with a variety of pistols; revolvers; and rifles under different field conditions ... again; this is nothing where any type of paper or sheepskin will get you into our training.
Q4. how long did you have to go school after high school to prepare for your current career?
A4 - Back then, we went thru a variety of schools to prepare us for the job -- total of close to 5 months before deployment.
Q5. what does a recon sniper make a per year?
A5 - If you make it thru our training, it depends on your rank.
Q6. on average how many hours do you work per week?
A6 - When you sign up for the military, the Gov't. owns your *** during the length of time you signed up for -- doesn't matter how many hours you work; it all pays the same.
Q7. what do like the most about your career? least?
A7 - Hard question to answer -- you'll have to live it yourself to get your answer.
Q8. is there anything about your career i should know that i didnt ask you?
A8 - Don't you know the answer to that one?
