I just took my practice ASVAB today. I scored 77. is that a pretty good score? what's the required score for BUD/S and what are the average scores?
let's make this thread short and simple please.

this is an easy one. the minimum scrore you need to train at BUD/S is like a 40 or 50. the average is around 30-40. i got a 76 myself and you have no idea how many recruiters called me up and said i could almost do everything that their branch offered. with your 77, you are golden for the SEALs

thanks for the input. the recruiter gave me handouts on navy advanced programs and told me that i'll be better off going into their nuclear program instead of SEALs. But my mind is set on SEALs.

My ASVAB didnt have the coding speed test on it, will I have to retake the test for SEAL challenge? my AFQT was 74

No you won't have to, my asvab didnt have coding speed either.

a good friend of mine that is also going into the Navy is going to be a Nuke for the money, BUT, i have convinced him to look into the SEAL career and he is definitly looking into it. the bottom line is that if you arent happy with what you are doing, no amount of money can make up for it. you would have alot more money being a Nuke, but i can bet you anything that you would enjoy the SEALs sooooo much more just because like you said...
But my mind is set on SEALs.
whatever you do,make sure you are happy with it. otherwise it will suck royaly for you

lol, thats why i tried getting him to do either SEAL or SWCC because he would enjoy it far better then being a Nuke
