My husband signed his 18x contract with the Army about a month ago. He leaves fairly soon to begin his training, starting with OSUT, of course. My question is...what is the best thing for me to do to support him during this ordeal? I know it will be tough for him, but I have absolute faith in him. Is anyone here married, and what did your wife/girlfriend/fiance do or say that helped you the most? Thank you so much. I have nothing but respect for each and every one of you guys!

Send him mail every single day, because that is the most important thing in basic, newspaper clippings anything you can find, magazine articles. I went through a year or so ago and my wife sent all kinds of stuff for me to read. It helped a ton, basic will fly by for you guys dont even sweat it.

Thanks so much for that info! I have another question for you. When did your wife get to move with you? I have read that he will PCS to Ft Bragg after Airborne, and that is when I will move to Bragg. Is that right? Thanks again!

Yeah when he PCS here for SOPC I think you might be able to come but not sure, usually they dont let any spouses get here until after Selection. Check on it though you might want to contact the Family Readiness Group on Fort Bragg. I got married during phase 3 so I dont know.
