I am always suspicious of these gestures. I want to believe there is some altruistic motivation, but usually it is just a ploy.
It's great advertising. It pulls at your heartstrings and makes you feel proud---AND THEN----a beer company logo....
I can't stand this kind of marketing--why should we be forced to associate a particular brand of beer with the fighting and dying in distant combat zones? Have you noticed how commercials have nothing to do with the products anymore? They probably found out that using something hard to forget and then subtley suggesting their product will have greater effects than being overt.

Ya, I just thought it was a cool commercial but it would be alot better if they shipped a c-130 full of beer overseas. Thanx for responding.

The comercial was great until the end when the Budweiser Logo popped on the screen.
