eye sight

i was wondering if anyone knows the disqualifications of PRK eye surgery...before coming into boot camp my eye sight was 20/70 in my left eye and 20/100 in my right...which are both waiverable...when i went to boot camp it ended up being 20/100, and 20/200 which makes me disqualified..i went and passed the seal pft, and then they found out that i didn't qualify...so now i have to get surgery before i can do anything else...my brother has a stigmatism, and they said that since his eye is shaped like a football, they can't do eye surgery on him? i think i have a stigmatism too though..im not sure..im just tryin to figure this out that way i can get this done...im stationed at great lakes, illinois right now and i need to get this figured out before i get to my next duty station...if anyone could help, it would mean a lot...thanks..

Sorry to hear about the eyes. I had eye surgery when both my eyes were 20/200 and i had a slight stigmatism, but they corrected that and everything. You would have to ask the doc when you go if you qualify or not. The best thing i could tell you is to just goto an eye surgeon and find out if you qualify.
