does anyone know if a heart murmor will keep me out of the corp? i've heard a couple of guys just got booted by the recruiter for haveing one. mines not a serious problem but just to be safe. thanx

They may or may not. You should try going in if it isnt serious, but they will keep a real steady eye on your ***. The only thing you have to remember is to stay safe and healthy.
Another good thing to do would be to consult your physician and go with what he says. You cant go wrong that way. Just stay safe.

If you have a heart condition, why in the hell would you even think of considering going into the military, especially Marine Force Recon, knowing how much training we go thru and the missions that are more often than not, far removed from civilization?

You are doing the right thing... ask questions. Be prepared to learn some medical terms. The worst they can tell you is "no", but if you have all the facts, you'll know the tolerance. Keep asking questions. See a doctor and ask him questions... it'll help if you write the questions down before your visit. Maybe, maybe, you can find a doctor that services the reserves that can tell you if you are good to go.
