Questions about SWCC

I Have a few questions about SWCC:

1) Is it true that if you go to bootcamp with a SWCC challenge contract then you only have one chance to pass the PST, but if you sign up for SWCC while in bootcamp you have three chances?

2) What can I do to prepare myself mentally for SWCC, i.e what particular things should I study to try and remain ahead of the curve, any particular books I should take a look at to give me a good grasps on information I'll need?

3) For anyone of you who are currently SWCC, or were SWCC...what has it been like you? I'd imagine it wouldn't be anything short of amazing, but do you have any stories that you can tell?

I'm very interested in SWCC but I have so many questions, any insight whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.

1) No clue on what the specifics are on this, but I do reccommend that you are able to pass the entrance test with flying colors before you take it. Specwar is not about the minimum standard. If the minimum push ups is 72, better try for 100.

2) Get a don't quit attitude. Pain is in your head. Your body can do more than your mind says it can. Get in the frame of mind that whatever they throw at you you can deal with, one step at a time. Any problem can be solved given the proper tools, a good team, and some stubborn sons of *****es. Finally, whenever your mind screams, STOP!, make your body scream GET SOME!

3) It is awesome. Imagine being 20 years old, driving a boat at 60 MPH in 4-6 foot seas with twin .50 Cal machine guns going off behind you and MK 19 Grenades going off all along your sides.

Then imagine the responsibility and trust you have to have in your team to accomplish that.

Prepare yourself for that and you will be one step ahead of most people.
