For the 50 M UW swim do you have to start at the wall or dive in? If you get to dive in theres 10 free meters on that.

Not a SEAL. But on the discovery channel videos the students jump in, do a flip in the water, then start swimming.

havent there only been like 270 some BUD/s classes?? i heard that out of all who start the class. only like 20% make it. if that is true, there cant be even 10,000 SEALs.

Right now, 2600 SEALs, but they're looking to increase that to 3000.
for the 50m underwater swim, you dive in feet first, do a flip, swim 25 meters to the other side of the pool, turn (no flip), and kick off back to the beginning.
Hint: kick off HARD and streamline!

Yeah, the kick off the wall at the other side of the pool is your saving grace, but if you don't kick off HARD, you probably won't have enough air to make it to the end!
