You are more than welcome J, anytime! Stay focused and ignore those little voices that pop into your head and you'll do just fine. I'm about a 45 drive away from GL. If/when you have any free time I suggest you get into The Loop (downtown Chi Town). Lots of great places to hang and visit...the museums here are excellent and the parks at this time of year are a great place to cop a squat and just chill. You've got my email addy, so feel free to drop me an update when time permits.
DAM i tell u wat i should start on my big runns NOW!!! haha ive ran 4 miles before nonstop but never realy timed (it was for soccer) so i better start doing some runs ill start off slow the first week 2 miles, second week 3 miles third week 4 and so on i think thats probly the best way woulndt u agree?
That sounds like a good workout. Its always better to workout with people going for a similar goal. most of the guys in my DEP pool going to SPEC OP are too far apart to get together besides for the PST.
My numbers are pretty good but Im looking to get my run and my swims down. My most recent PST was last tuesday and the numbers were as follows: Swim: 8:12 Push Ups 91, Sit ups 95, Pull ups 17, Run 9:33. Where are you out of in the Bay area?
Challenge SEALs? I have a SEAL contract if thats what your asking. I passed my PST in January but my contract didnt change until about this last week. Its a relief knowing I have the contract. yeah man 2 points is nothing you can get it easily.
I am currently going to school in Davis CA. Its about a 20 minute drive from Sacramento. where are you at?
If you really wanted SEAL I know of some guys in my DEP pool that are retaking their ASVAB so that they get a higher score, you should look into that if SEAL is your ultimate goal, Although SWCC is pretty sweet.
Hi J and welcome back! You've been very busy lately and that's a good thing. Keep up with school and training. I'm doing pretty well. I am 5 weeks post-surgery and the recovery is kind of dragging, but coming along as expected. Other than that, not too much is new on my end. TTYS ~Shar
Dude...where have you been lately? I haven't seen you online in quite some time. Thanks for the update and it sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed it! Excellent news! I have a busy week ahead of me so I will be hit or miss online. I've got many things that have to be done in the next 4 days. I will catch up with you later! Have great week!! ~Shar
Happy Thanksgiving to all that view my page. Thanks for taking the time to remember me and for your thoughts. I would like to say to all on NSC, thanks for helping me to continue to contribute to NSC and those here that have the dream and burn... and need my help to put the two together. Thanks to all my friends who have become like family... I will be forever in your debt. Enjoy this special day with your family and friends and remember to reach out to help someone every day... you never know just how much your thoughtfullness is making a difference in someones life or their dream.
LMAO over here! That is a good one and one that I will have to remember. Once you start getting to be my age...the memory starts to slip from time to time! Thanks for the laugh today! TTYS ~Shar
All I can say is that I had a blast on this last trip. Managed to hook up with a few members from the site. Great people, conversations, food and drink....doesn't get much better than that. One more trip mid-week through the weekend, then off to school on the 22nd. Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Make sure you get plenty of rest and follow the Doc's orders. I enjoyed school when I was in, you just have to make the best of it for it not to bore you to death. ~Shar
Thanks for the request man. Good luck on your journy after graduation this year, keep training and keep telling yourself you can do it. I know you want it bad enough to get that trident so make sure you get it HooYah ,rising_2_victory, dont let any one stop you!-Nate
That's too bad about your 'puter. They are nice to have but can be a complete PITA as well. I've had far too much sun and fresh ocean breeze weather today. Right now I'm exhausted and ready to head to bed for the night. Other than that, things are good! How about you?
He's alive! He's alive! hehe....glad to see that you found your way back here. Could have used some of your jokes the last few weeks, but I made it through the sucky times without them. Laughter is always the best medicine. Not much is new with me, pretty much the same old same old. What are these 2 points you keep talking about on the PST? Where is the problem coming in at? I'm sure someone here would be able to help you out with whatever it is. But, it is still good to hear that you passed it again. Lots of choices to make in the Navy. ~Shar
Hey man, heard that you took the ASVAB recently. How hard was it? I ask because I always get nervous about academc tests for some reason. How well did you do, and is it really that hard or is it nothing to worry about? TTYS. - T
Wow J! Sorry about missing out by only 2 points. I feel for you. SWCC is not only cool but pretty badassed! Check out that forum on the boards. You will be amazed at the information there. Keep me in the know on how things are going for you. Have a great week! TTYS ~Shar
I'm just sayin'. Back in the early 80's I was a blonde for about 6 months but those darn dark roots kept coming back. Imagine that! Looking forward to heading into the city for Chicago Fest, a couple of trips and of course the family get togethers. I've got 2 surprise 70th birthdays and the beginning of September my Gram will turn 100. Other than that just a "second" family wedding the end of July. Hopefully the trips will be relaxing instead of being on the go all the time. What's happening on your end? ~ Shar
Well HOO YAH!!!! Congratulations, damn proud of you!!! When you head to GL, give me a shout and I'll take you out for some great Chicago food! BTW...where are my jokes at? I could use some good hard laughs you know. ~ Shar
Hey J! The weather here has been awful. Hot, humid, thunderstorms and we actually had 5 tornados touch down on Saturday evening. The closest to me was Chicago but all is well here at home. The humidity has pretty much disappeared for now so I shut the AC off and have the windows open for a change. Hope you are surviving the heat and humitidy! ~ Shar
You're telling me....damn right it SUCKS!!! It was sunny and about 65 today and the next 5 days it will be in the 70's again. Hopefully it will stay that way until it gets really hot and humid here. TTYL ~ Shar
Hi J! Just keep your nose in the books and study. I'm sure you'll do great on the SAT's and before you know it, your hard work will have paid off and it will be over. Weekend was great, picture perfect weather. Too bad it didn't last, it's only 46 degrees here in Chi Town now. Damn Canadian cold air!! TTYS ~ Shar
Hey J! Just poppin' over to tell you to have a great weekend and enjoy the Holiday. Summer break is right around the corner for you so make sure you enjoy the time off! TTYL ~ Shar
It's cool, i dont think that anyone NEEDS a training partner, but i think that having someone to guage yourself against helps to keep you motivated. I know for a fact that i can run much faster and further when its with one of my buddies. Guess its a competition thing.
