It is time to go home, now we do the next job. Have to feed hay and sweet feed to animals. That means I have to go get about 5 bales of hay from 1 barn and move it to the other, only have to do that once if I get enough. Need to check on the dogs and make sure they have enough feed otherwise I well need to get a 30 or 50 lb bag of feed this week. Once I get all that done I get to do housework, then cook supper if I want any. Of course living on a farm I have quail to feed 1 roster and hen, 3 cats and other sundry animals. Have a Great day thought I would check in on you to see how things are coming along.
Thats exactly the pamphlet I purchased along with my first three throwing knives. Your absolutly right about the literature on the subject being redundant. I have found it to be like anything else in life...trial & error. I just feel the weight of the blade, hold it at its apex and release without flicking the wrist. In a range of 15-25 ft...I can stick the target well. I just can't get use to throwing it by the handle. I will research what you have recommended. Niravana - what could have been... take care and keep in touch.
I purchased a book (more like a pamphlet) on throwing knives when I first started. It only mentioned throwing knives by the blade or handle. I only know that much . Are you trying to experiment with throwing a blade with out rotation ? or Did you read about it and are now applying the priniciples (if so...please refer me to that manual) ? Ive seen an impressive throwing knife the other day. It was more like a spike actually. It packs a punch and I think it weighed somehwere between 3-5 lbs . I would do a search in the forum on knees, if I were you. It might be a good idea to get knee wraps to give additional support. I would also incorporate swimming and or biking to help lose weight and slowly work the running into your training regiment. Keep in touch and let me know how your doing from time to time
Sent you a message hope it went thur let me know. I have also read some of the same books. I understand that they a due to make a movie out of lone survivor.
Hi again. Yes, I'm glad we are friends now! I see you are also friends with my hubby below, Wayne (AJ). He's a pretty cool guy, I think I'll keep him. I hope to get to know you better and hear from you soon. Stay funny!! TTYS. Marilyn
Just stopping by to see how you are doing with your workout program. Keep at it, you can do it and there is enough of us here (older gentlemen) to keep asking and keep you motivated. Keep in touch. Wayne (AJ)
I know I have stopped by before just didn't what I wanted to say. I hope you the best wishes on you endevor. I know someone the need to lose weight to become a marine sniper but love the food to much. Will check in to see how you are doing.
Not a problem...if I may, take it one step at a time. Im sure your going to work very hard and get very anxious to take the next step. Take it slow and be safe...nothing sucks more then losing most of the weight and then geting injured. The weight comes back on and you have to start all over again ...besides that, I also wanted to tell you that I throw a few blades myself. I never liked dart boards ...Ive messed around with throwing knives ever since I was 17. I can throw a knife by the blade (the 180 degree spin) but I can't get use to throwing it by the handle (requiring a 360 degree spin). Its just something Ive always done for fun...although I think the movie Under Seige inspired me to practice more then I would have take care, ttyl. Good luck with your training.
Hi again. We traveled to Europe a couple of years ago and fell in love with Italy, Rome and Pompeii especially. Photography isn't really a hobby, I just point the camera and click hoping that the photo gets taken. My husband is into photography for a hobby. I love your list of turn off's. I'm opposite my husband says I'm a stationery addict, I love buying stuff for the office.
What’s up guy , I like your profile. I worked for 6 years straight from 6am – 6pm (no vacations). I woke up at 4am (sometimes 5am) to get some stuff done before I got to work. I would get home at 7pm after work, Monday through Saturday, for 6 very long years in Chicago. I had various responsibilities at my uncle’s furniture & appliance store. When I started working there I weighed 205lbs. When I finished working there, I weighed 275lbs! I dropped the weight down to 194 lbs after 7 months of training, and then I got injured, I shot back up to 255lbs. I'm at 225lbs. My goal is 190lbs. I am genetically inclined to lose weight fast or gain weight fast. You’re either an endomorph, extomorph or mesomorph. I fall under the mesomorph classification. I’m almost 29 yrs old and need to be in the BUD/s program before on or before my thirtieth birthday. I would just like to tell you to get all the SUPPORT you can…my dumb-ass decided to do the lone-wolf approach and I’ve been going in circles ever since. Good luck with your training and your goals. I want to say one last thing . The one thing I hated the most about my old job and the long hours, was when I would go to sleep, dream about being in my office working and shortly after wake up and go back to work ...once again, good luck and keep in touch
Hey there! Noticed that you dropped by so I thought I would come stop by and welcome you to NSC and say hello! You are absolutely correct about the turn offs too. I just left the corporate world after 28 years this past November. Haven't regretted one day of it since then. Good luck to you on your goal of becoming a Special Forces Warrior! ~Shar
Hi! Saw you stopped by my page and wanted to say that I liked the chubby cartoon guy and the name is funny and catchy too. You sound like you have a good sense of humor and are confident enough to be yourself! Good for you. Good luck with your new endeavor. Stay focused and you will do fine, at least your're doing something! Hope to see you around. Take care & TTYS. Marilyn
