I am hanging in there and playing the current hand that's been dealt. Not about to fold 'em now. I'll be changing the avi very soon. How's things with you and yours these days?
I got a whole lot of...zilch, zero, nada and nothing! Shoot the PM's on the forum side of the site...there are times when the profile side PM's don't work properly. Thanks!
Hello. Name is Dan and I am from Texas. I saw you stopped by and thought I would return the favor. I am a bit of a movie buff myself. My favorite movies would include "Wizard of Oz" and "Mary Poppins." The Hunt for the Red October I could watch over and over again. Have a good 4th.
It's going to take a couple of days before I can mow the lawn again...we have been getting nailed with rain here. And, I'm headed into The Loop tomorrow to pick up a few new things...the grass will have to keep.
I am currently working on a trip back there...I believe it was about a week after what you've mentioned but nothing is confirmed. I wanted to have a chat with my FAV DB before I actually book it.
I'll check the PM and reply...then I am off to pay my respects to my Dad.
I was the DD tonight so I only had one Margarita then I had to switch to ice water and hot tea. The A/C in the place had to be set at about 60...it was freezing in the hall. We were all out on the deck since the hall was right on the water...much warmer outside than inside.
I was on the West Coast and flew home last Friday. Right now I'm on the East Coast for some other "I do's" later today. All this back and forth is taking it's toll. I just woke up and I already feel like I need a nap.
I've been good. It's winter here and I think I'm freezing my tushy off but it's only 57F so my American friends are laughing at me and telling me how it snows by them and gets colder than that. It's pretty wet too, been raining quite a bit, I got soaked taking photos at the opening of parliament. It was quite funny. Hubby took one look at me shivering and wet in my SEAL t-shirt and said to me "so you're cold, wet and tired all you need now is to be sandy and you're all set" But it was still lots of fun getting to stand behind 4 25pound WW2 guns as they fired a 21 gun salute. I'd brave any weather to hear and see those guns fire. Plus now that I'm the units photographer I get to attend any event where the guys are firing their guns. One of the photos I took last year at night is still being talked about 7 months later and they're having the photo enlarged to poster size and mounted.
I like your new avi! And of course I was at Mc P's...several times! We had a BLAST there! Met some great people and I ran into a guy I met back in February and then we sat down and drank drank drank until we were drunk drunk drunk. Good thing the hotel was within walking distance! I paid a lot of tabs the first night but only one the 2nd. He wasn't exactly mad the 2nd night but when he went to pay his tab; which he thought my drinks were on, he found out otherwise...HA...that Frog didn't Pay Attention To Detail! I asked him if something was wrong when I heard him say something to the bartender and his reply was, "Yeah, my tab is ridiculiously low!" Bahahahaha!
I did not give you a hit and run...I left a comment below. I just came back from the West Coast. I am headed to the East Coast this weekend...short trip though...3 days and then I'm back in the Mid-West. I could be persuaded to head back West though...I LOVE SD!
This is what I found a few minutes ago. I heard about it on my local news early this morning but I had a full day scheduled today and just got back online a short time ago.
Thank You! I'll keep my eyes open for that but if it's after 7 PM my time...I'll be needing toothpicks to keep them open from all the Margaritas I'll be chugging down later today!
Definitely under the powers of the Bull. Although not all of it applies to me and my personality. FYI...white cake is my absolute favorite with cannoli filling. Dang...now I've got a taste for that...I'll have to make it soon!
But I must say google earth is nice to use to look at places I plan to visit one day. Spend most of my time looking down on San Diego, that along with the pictures from the California Coastal Records project keeps me day dreaming about being in San Diego one day.
Beautiful Cape Town is cold and wet, winter has arrived here.
I'm good, getting a new PC next week. My other one fried rather mysteriously after I spent over an hour on google earth looking at certain places in the USA. Hubby says I'm being paranoid the machine was old it's just a coincidence. Hey the men in black can show up at my door any day, as long as they bring me back to the USA.
We had our presidential elections here on Tuesday, go look up Jacob Zuma and you'll see who our new president is. If you hear any flushing sounds it might be this country going down the drain.
I think I visited SOCNET once or twice but as a simple supporter I felt way out of my depth.
Hey fy! I have been under the weather the last several days and I will be more than happy once this bug is gone! Got the PM and replied so check your inbox. Have a great week! ~Shar
Fy...that is the introduction thread to that forum. I haven't heard of any recent fallen warriors. It seems that "element" made a post in that intro thread which brought it back up onto the hot topics page.
