Hi! Found your message. I hardly ever go in the Forum and you can imagine my surprise when I did today and saw your message. I only went in to vote on that T-Shirt threat from Shar and wow saw a message from you! Well I'm doing good. I was thinking about you when Ike was headed to TX. Thanks God that it bypassed you. We were pretty nervous here too. You never know what path those things will take. That's just great that you are volunteering in the post-Ike efforts. I would love to do something like that, but truthfully, I have so many projects that I'm working on currently that I would not be able to take any time off. My boss would just die if I told her I'm taking off for awhile even for a good cause.  I hope you do get to hear soon if they can use you in Galveston. I imagine so from the horrible images I've seen on TV.

You know I meant to tell you that I spent a lot of time in Austin this year. I was there for weeks on a off since April. I designed a luxury building there, it's called "The Monarch". That's one of my projects. Don't know if you are familiar with it, but living in Austin you must have seen it, it's one of the tallest towers in that area. By the way, I love Austin. That is one hip and happening city and it's beautiful too. I loved the warehouse district and all the cool bars and restaurants. My team and I went to quite a few awesome places when we were there. Oh, and I brought beautiful cowboy boots at a place called "Cowboy Cool". The name fits the shop, they got the coolest stuff. I haven't worn my boots yet, it's still too hot in Florida for boots, but I will. I always wanted real cowboy boots and finally got them. I'll wear them with skinny jeans tucked inside. I also got some cool T-shirts and dresses in that area that's filled with funky little shops.  In our off time, we went into all these cool little boutiques that had the most unusual and amazing things. Like finding little treasures. The next time I go to Austin I'm buying a Stetson. That's the plan. You can tell I love to shop huh?

I haven't read any good SEAL books lately. I need to buy the new Suz Brockmann book, the next one in the TS Series and next month Marliss Melton's new SEAL series book will be out, so I've preordered it from Amazon. Been reading some Nicholas Sparks books lately, pretty heartbreaking stories that always make me cry, but such beautiful stories and his description of the South Carolina coast is just awesome.

Be safe in Galveston if you are assigned there and please take care of yourself. That is such a wonderful thing you are doing. That's good Karma that you will get back again and again. I can't wait to hear from you again.

TTYS. Marilyn

I have not talked with you in a few weeks. How are you? I guess you heard that we had a hurricane came to Texas. We were worried it would come to Austin but we were lucky and it did not. I wanted you to know that I am going off the NSC site for a while starting on 9/26/08. I think I will be back around the middle of October. I had hope to be sent to Galveston for clean-up support. I have not heard anything but I really want to help. Tell me how your trip was and what book you are reading. Take care Dan18

Mine was good i hope yours was also good.  I understand what your saying about organ donations, and its good your trying to encourage it.  I also understand how you never get anything done if your at your house haha, i have to say i also always get distracted.

im glad to be taking geomotry ,like your saying its more logical, hopfully that will motivate me to do well.  I got my first taste of shakespere actually last year during Romeo and Juliet, not that i love it, but im not complaining.

I've been wanting to see tropic thunder since i saw the preview for it, i'll probley go to see that somtime during the following week. Babylon A.D. also had my interests, but i do hate when there is to much dialog.  I guess ill have to see both and decide.

Have a great memorial day weekend.

Nate
