Hi Rainey! How is the new house? All unpacked now and getting things in order I hope. Week has flown by and I am JAZZED that the weekend start tomorrow for me...WHOO HOO!!!!
Yep, that is a green eye with tears coming from it. I put it up because M1&O STUD is breakin' my heart! You would have to read the comments on his page, GF's page, K's page and mine in order to catch up.
Now...go have some fun and laughs while reading!!!
Nope just needed something to make me think of the spring and summer while I wait for the nice weather to get here. That flower is from my garden last year.
Thats cool ur movin but the thing i hate abot movin is all the pakin unpakin crap its a pain in the ass haha well since ur movin y dont u move down into the states hahaha well its probly a nice place were ur movin to so thats always a good thing haha ok have a good one.....talk to u in 3 days haha
Good Morning Rainey. I'm about ready to turn on the brewer here and have a hot cup of tea; not a coffee drinker. Then I have to start packing...ugg! The days flew by this time...they were all good days though and very relaxing; just what I needed.
That area of San Diego is absolutely beautiful...I had to go back a second time because I forgot my camera the first time around. Only wish I had brought the better one with me.
Hiya Rainey! It's spring where I am...I headed out of my home town before another snow storm hit!!! Proof positive that Ma & Pa didn't raise a dummie!!!
Oh man- I know what you mean about finding out how much STUFF you own when you go to move. It is crazy how it seems like everything multiplies- you think- oh this room won't take too many boxes...then you wind up with mountains of boxes!
Love it! Your packing sounds hilarious- bubble wrapping your books and threatening messages of bodily harm
Luckily for me, the pain med for my cat is a liquid that I have to put on her gums- and she is my mellow cat so it isn't a problem. She also totally trusts me to help her, so she lets me do what I have to.
Now, I am off to try to get some sleep- have a great day!
Hey there girlie! So, how is packing going? And did you get the word on the house yet?
I had to take one of my cats in for knee surgery- poor thing is miserable. I have to give her pain meds every 4 hours, and I am sleeping with her downstairs on the couch in case she needs anything. I am tempted to take a couple of days off of work, but it is so busy right now that that is kind of difficult. I will borrow a co-workers car at lunch to come home and give her her meds and check on her, poor baby. So now she and I have matching right knee scars, only her leg looks very funky with all the hair shaved off.
Sorry Rainey but the link is no workey and the search returns 3 results but you have to be a member to view the articles. Hope you are having a Happy Monday! It is overcast here today but very warm and tomorrow will be warmer yet with sunshine. We will be getting the wet weather that SD has today come Wednesday...beats more snow even though I'm sure we'll get hammered with a late winter storm before this month is out!
Hey Rainey! It was a georgous day here and the rain didn't fall. Nearly all of the snow is gone and it looks like the rain will be upon us tomorrow. Temps are still above freezing so that's a good thing. Hope it cools down by you soon!
Hi Rainey! It's early Saturday morning here. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Been a little busy on the forum side the last few days! Sounds like you had one fantastic TGIF! Wish I could say that I've never run a red light but that would be quite the fiction story...hehe. The weather on Friday was absolutely beautiful here. We hit 43 degrees and had clear blue skies with plenty of sunshine and over the weekend it will hit the low 50's. The only downer is that it will be raining. At least that will melt all of the snow on the ground. My sump pump has been running every 2 minutes just to keep the wells from flooding the basement. I do believe that spring is on its way...WHOO HOO!!!!
You are not a jinx...they played a hell of a game and at least it wasn't a blow out!
Have you never heard of the Kentucky Derby...the Preakness or the Belmont Stakes...ya know the Triple Crown? Those are the 3 biggest horse races here in the States!!!
WHOO HOO!!! Excellent news that you will be able to catch the big game later today! Every TV station you turn to has something on about the Bowl tonight...losts of specials too!
I have no doubt that you made an impression on the Ship earlier today! You are gonna wear out that shirt woman...I may have to get you a second one as a back up soon!!!!
Good for you that you're getting out of the house and away from packing.
You won't be able to root for either team...neither one wears blue. Steelers are black, white and gold and the Cardinals are black, white and red. Your hubby is rooting for the right team.
TGIF to you too Rainey! Packing...ewwww...that is no fun at all! Sounds like you should be out and about this weekend in Cape Town instead of spending all of it indoors packing...lots to see and beautiful weather only adds to it. Wish I could say the same about here. We've got clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine but it is in the teens here again. It's suppose to warm up into the 30's over the weekend though. I'm hanging around the house most of the weekend. Lots of things to put in order here and of course rooting on the Arizona Cardinals on Super Bowl Sunday!!!! Have a great weekend and don't spend all of it indoors packing!!!
I feel for you Rainey but that is the exact reason why I am a dog lover and not a cat person. They are very sneaky and too quiet to catch before chaos erupts. Doesn't matter how many bells you put on them. I will be happy when it's about 8:30 PM today and the last of my appointments are done for this week. Been running around every single day from one place to another.
Happy Monday Afternoon/Evening! The house hunting sounds like a giant PITA, sorry you are having to deal with that. Hopefully you will find just the perfect place, and soon!
Kaleigh managed to electronically transmit her germs and she as well as I have a cold. I'm taking Airborne and it helps me quite a bit. I was down in Chi Town's Loop on Friday and had an absolute blast. Was custom fitted for new upstairs suspenders and spent a tone of money...but I got some pretty smoke'n hot stuff. Just don't know what is worse right now, the cold in my head or the cold outside. Either way, it really sucks to be me today! Oh well...whatcha gonna do but embrace the suck!
Hiya Rainey! I feel for ya with the house hunting...it can be exciting but also a drag. Just take your time and you will know it's the one you want the instant you step through the door.
Yep, got the go ahead to return to all "normal" activities on Monday. No running until 2/2/09 and no chlorinated or salt water until the infection has cleared and the area is completely healed. I am in the gym late at night. I just plug in the Ipod and do the workout. It's nicer at my gym after 11 PM...fewer people. I am off to the Loop tomorrow for a custom fitting too. Gonna be dropping a lot of $$$$$$ there! Listen for the Ca Ching...you may hear it all the way over by you in SA!
I am sorry that you have the delay in your visit to the US and potential move here. I am hoping that the time flies for you- and that it will be time to move before you know it.
I am just keeping busy, and walking my rear end off. Other than that, not much happening in my life.
Hey my Southern Hemisphere friend! Sorry for the no contact- combo on my side of chaos and my own personal blues. Now I think I am over the hump (or at least the worst of it!)
How goes things with you? '09 treating you OK? Weather here has been BEAUTIFUL, which means that I have been outside every moment that I possible can.
It was extremely cold here this past week. The air temps were -20's and that was before the wind was factored in! This area is not for fair weathered people, that is for sure. The temps are on the rise and right now we're getting more snow on and off. I am still working on this infection and have been switched over to a wet to dry dressing. Hopefully it will all be gone in another few weeks. I am getting tired of this recovery period. Funny how they never tell you exactly what can happen.
Sounds like you have had a very exciting week and hopefully the weekend will be just the same for you. I know how much you love to be out there when the ships arrive!
Hey ya Rainey! I am just now catching up on the profile side. Was a bit bizzy with a TOOL on the forum side today. We got 4 inches of snow Friday morning and it started all over again at 1900. As of right now it is still falling and won't be ending until sometime late today. Single digit temps will hit on Tuesday and flurries all week long.
This was a busy week for me with appointments every other day. I plan on laying low this weekend. I believe I have "the boys" the next 2 weeks since Nana is headed to Florida for some vacation time. I am going to have to talk to my SIL and find out for sure. I need to work around my follow-up appointments with Doc G. I think she forgot all about that when she asked me. I told her it would all depend on my surgery and recovery...oh well...I will have to deal with this later today.
I forget what the date and day of the week is on a regular basis. Hope your weather clears up and you can get out and about for some photos.
Hey Rainey! Weekend was okay...headed back for another follow-up later today. I will be happy when this is all over and my life goes back to its "normal" state.
Kids have a way of doing that. Not looking forward to the twins turning 5 at the end fo the month. I have a feeling it will be worse than Christmas Eve's noise level!!!
Hey Rainey. Happy New Year!!! How was your New Years Eve? We went out to a friends house and had a BBQ and I had too many Cosmopolitans. It was fun though. I have a bit of a headache this morning.
The sun is up here, it's partly cloudy and 28 degrees right now. It's supposed to hit 41 today which will seem downright balmly. I am going to take a drive into the city today and hook me up with a new pair of UGG boots. The temps are going to drop over the next few days with snow from Friday to Sunday. Considering that it was 57 last weekend and rained for 48 hours, all of what we already got is gone, gone, gone!!! Meds are pretty much the same. Met up with the gals from the 'hood last night for a pre New Years celebration...good times were had and I was home within 30 minutes of taking the dose for the day...Safety First!!!
I will be working on NYE until about 6, then work on Friday. So only New Years day off. I will be having a VERY mellow new years. Perhaps I will see you online.
Ive not seen 24...will try and research it...Since you like planes, military,carriers...go to...You Tube...Super Funny F-14 Video!!!....good video with humor...LOL
Probably the same place ...I reviewed my memory last PM and came up with the Mt. Nelson...You have a beautiful country...I hope you get your Politics straightened out...AFRICA has a lot to offer. Have you watched the movie..."Tears of the Sun"...I watched it the other day while on holiday...NAVY SEALS and all...movie contains a lot of your interests. Strong though...however you SA's are tough...Im sure you can handle it.
Was there in 98 ...stayed at the ?????? can't remember the place but was downtown very British upscale ...went to Robin Island....Table Mountain...Cape Horn...Very Beautifil City. Would go back anytime...was it true that Michael Jackson had a place there.
