I was just busting you know. I have had a migraine since late afternoon on Saturday and it won't go away! I have to be up in about 6 hours to start my Tuesday; which is going to be a hectic one.
I haven't had time to keep up with much. My days are spent dealing with my siblings and extended family over my Mom's current situation. It is exhausting and there are a few of my sibs that I could cheerfully choke the living shee-yit out of!
I'm out for some shut-eye and hopefully when I wake in about 6 this head of mine won't be pounding still!
I promise I'll email you tomorrow. Got back from the writers conference late last night and spent all day catching up with life, washing etc. I have lots of exciting stuff to tell you!
Oops...as to the other situation...she has agreed to see the Doctor but she is back to her usual tricks. Told the scheduler it wasn't for anything inparticular and not a rush and got an appointment for the 9th of September...WTF! True to fashion, between the scheduler and the nurse, they got it all screwed up. The nurse called late last night and left a message that I had to erase. I'm about to call and have a little chat with her. Needless to say, between the scheduler and the nurse...they could screw up a 1 car funeral without there being a corpse.
It's a derogatory term that basically means they aren't the brightest crayon in the box.
What does a civilian wear to a military dinner...well DUH...clothing. Do NOT show up sporting your birthday suit...you will be the talk of the evening if you do!
Hope you got some good pictures of the USS Arleigh Burke, you should post them.
Not much going on here, just waiting for the next 18 days to end. Spent quite a lot of the last week sorting out things like power, phone etc, with hours waiting on hold while on my mobile phone. I so don't want to see that bill. It was a beautiful weekend here, it was sunny and warm and not windy at all.
Hey sorry I haven't replied recently. Things have been busy around here. I've been working full time and finally finished yesterday.
On Wednesday we had a huge earthquake in NZ it was 7.8 on the richter scale. Lucky for us we are now living in a different island and when it hit it wasn't to bad. Kind of like two big trucks rolling past our motel unit. Back at home which was way closer to the quake they had quite a bumpy ride, apparently it was like being on a boat in a storm with it rolling from side to side and up and down. Quite a few people felt seasick. There was no damage and no casualties because where the earthquake hit was far away from citiies etc. It was all exciting though. There was a tsunami alert but the tsunami only ended up being 17 cm high which wasn't big.
I have never, ever tried to bathe a cat. It sounds like asking for trouble! Our cat Thomas once fell into the kitchen sink and got completely soaked with soapy water. I chased after him with a towel and we both ended up being saturated and I slipped over on the kitchen floor. It was pretty funny to C who came home from work to see us both soaking wet.
Its only 21 days to go!!! Hope you have a great weekend.
Hey Rainey, I hope its stopped raining by now. We finally saw the sun today, not that I got a chance to see it. Spent all day working with a stupid windows computer that kept crashing, freezing, stupid things. It reminds me why I love macs. Went to the lawyer today and signed paperwork. Everything is slowly coming together. Hope you're having a great day. K.
Bah humbug to the interet I say. Its a beautiful sunny day here in Wellington which is good. its been cloudy and raining the last three weeks. We're off exploring the city some more. Hope you have a great day.
The cats are going okay. Jack is getting better but Katie's eye is a little funny. I understand your internet issues. Hope they get better soon. The motel we're staying in told us we used to much internet and cut us off. So we had to buy expensive mobile internet and hook it up to my iphone. The next month is going to be expensive since I'm working and need it. Sigh. have a great weekend. J.
The only thing I know for sure right now is that a small portion of his ashes will go into a paw print charm on one of my gold chains. The Vet placed his ashes in a very nice velvet pouch and then into a white tin with grey and black paw prints on the outside. They also sent me a letter today letting me know that they have made a donation in his name to the U of I Veterinary School of Medicine. Right now I'm undecided as to where the remainder of his ashes will be.
I'm out to change the head on my gas trimmer, then to sweat my ass off while I do the trim work and mow my lawn seeing how it's 80 and sunny today; that's provided I can start the mower with my elbow! Keep your fingers crossed that it works since my front and back lawn is beginning to resemble a friggin' jungle...YIKES!
Hey. Sorry haven't been around much. Work started and I've been working like a mad woman. Hope everything is going well with you. Only 29 days to go!!!
Thanks Rainey, I appreciate the thoughts. But, that is not happening right now or anytime in the future. Dreyfus was my baby boy and right now I need to hit the shower and head out to pick up his ashes from the Vet. Catch you later!
That's great. My youngest brother's Boxers are from a rescue although one is half boxer half pitbull. I'm a pure bred kinda gal though. No new pups for me right now. Time will tell if/when I make a decision on whether to have another.
I don't know who to feel sorry for Jack or the lady who has to give him some pills and eye drops. To get Jack to take a pill usually takes two people, a towel and sticking plasters for us after wards. I can't imagine how sticking stuff in his eye is going to work. We're going to go visit him tonight, he hates being stuck in confined spaces.
Glad to hear that it all got straightened out for you Rainey. Seems like your husband knows how to handle things quickly...lucky you! Haha...that's a great sign "hooligan on the loose"....time will tell if my new niece will resemble that one. Right now all she wants to do is sleep, sleep and sleep.
Hope you had a good weekend. Starlight express was amazing. How can you go wrong with rock music and people skating fast and doing tricks on roller skates and inline skates.
Just got a call from the cattery. Jack is sick and they took him to the vets and he has conjunctivitis. He's contagious so he's been seperated from the rest of the cats for the next 5 days in a small cage. Its not his fault, the only place he could have gotten it from was another cat in the cattery. And now they have to pill him and put stuff in his eye 3 times a day. My poor baby.
Yeah I agree 34 days sounds way better than 4 weeks and six days. We're going to visit the cats again tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. Tomorrow we're going to see starlight express which will be quite cool. One of my new friends here is American, she's pretty cool. She loves my navy seals.com tshirt. Have a great weekend. J.
My SIL went home yesterday and her brother and SIL are in from Cali this week too! I am heading over there on Sunday with some more stuff I picked up for CJ...she is gonna be one spoiled little baby. I think I'm entitled since my oldest niece is 25 now...been a long time since I've been able to do this for a girl.
No, I haven't had any vicodin today. I did however pick up 2 rather large bottles of watermelon margarita mix. Once my 2 cakes are out of the oven here, I am going out to have dinner and on my way back home I'll be picking up some tequila and a bag of ice. I should be drunk by midnight...YAY!!!
I would try cafepress.com to see if they have any shirts like you're looking for...just don't know if they ship to SA.
You could always take the two shirts apart and sew them together the way you want. If you know what the present is, why can't you have it now? Sorry but that makes no sense at all!
Hey. Sorry I haven't replied been busy with work and stuff. The migraine has finally disappeared yay.
The cats are doing better when we visited them on Wednesday they actually paid attention to me. It makes me feel much better that they don't hate me anymore. I drove by our house today, only five weeks to go but it still feels like a long time. This weekend is going to be busy I'm going to a writers meeting tomorrow afternoon and on Sunday we're going to see Starlight Express.
Alright woman...if I were, on the rare chance, to see it ALL...I most definitely wouldn't be talking about it. I am not one who kisses and tells...there are some things in life that are best kept amongst the parties involved!
No worries.....I just use twitter daily! Have a great weekend....this is a big holiday weekend....here in the states! That means much cold beer for me!
Yuppers...broke both the bones in my right elbow...the freakin' gate closed on me when I was going through and smacked me right smack dab on the elbow with the metal closure. I'll live...painfully for a while but I'll live.
Once she's a little older, we'll be calling her CJ for short. The nurses didn't seem to think it was anything to worry about. She just wants to stay tucked in her shirt and blanket is all...she's nice and warm that way. When they strip her down to just the diaper...you can seriously hear how ticked off she is...she has one very strong set of lungs!

They have officially named their daughter...Chloe Jeanne! I saw her earlier this afternoon and she is adorable but she doesn't want to eat...just wants to sleep. I will send you some pics once I get home and upload them.
Mom and baby are just fine. She arrived at 1:33 PM on the 29th, weights 9.4 ounces and is 21 inches long. No name yet...Mom and Dad are still undecided. "The Boys" are jumping for joy and their little baby sister is COOL!!! I will be meeting her for the first time tomorrow afternoon and I'm taking my camera!
Hi. Its good to hear that your friend is doing better. Its a relief i'm sure. My migraine is pretty much gone. The painkillers didn't really work and on Sunday I started feeling nauseous as well so the pharmacist gave me some good stuff which finally started making things go away. I'm nearly back to normal now but I'm still feeling a bit weird, you know like the aura you can see.
The thing about the cats is they still love Craig! The other cats at the cattery love me though especially a pair of maine coons that are there. They are twice the size of normal cats and are so sweet and they chirp like birds. I'm going to get one of those next.
The USA team should be really proud of themselves they put up a good fight.
Just left a voicemail message for my big/little bro...waiting to hear that she arrived. The sad is on my end...not my big/little bro's. I'll be fine, no worries. It has been a very sad and upsetting 2 days.
No, I haven't heard a peep out of my "big/little" bro (because he's taller/because he's younger) yet. I'm sure she's here already since the "C" Section was scheduled for 1300 my time...that was 4 hours ago. My brand new niece will put a happy ending on a very sad day!
Brazil won but it was a very exciting match, the USA should be very proud of themselves.
We went to visit the cats in the cattery yesterday and our cats completely ignored me. All the other cats there wanted love though so I patted and hugged them. Then our cats got jealous lol. Well its 39 days today going very slowly. I've had a migraine the last three days and its been hard trying to share the small room with craig especially when he's been watching tv or playing guitar hero. Noise and light has been hurting my head.
I hope your friend gets better quickly and you hear from him soon, I know what your going through. Earlier this year when Marilyn was rushed to hospital I didn't hear for hours till AJ got hold of me and told me she was okay.
Hiya Rainey. I'm hanging in there. It has been one hot and humid week here. I got home about 30 minutes ago and it was 91 degrees here but the humidity isn't as bad as it's been these last 5 days...thankfully! I am taking care of a few things at home then I will be heading back out in another hour or so. Have a great weekend too!
Hey Rainey. Its still raining here too. I am going crazy. If I hear one more person tell me that "the days will fly by" I will drag them here and make them live here for the next 42 days.
I saw it will be Brazil and USA for the confederations cup final. I think we both know who'll win that. But still "Go USA".
