My team are out! They freaking choked! it was a disaster of a match to watch.

Yeah SA made it through but we're struggling and the competition is just going to get more intense.

Hubby and I allowed the cats 3 days to mark territory without shouting at them, we figured they needed to get settled in just as much as we did and it's not easy explaining a move to cats. We were also afraid of them trying to find their way back to the old house if they couldn't find their scent at the new place.

I think kittens are adorable and it's too cute when bigger cats play with kittens. All my babies are grown up. The 2 kittens I hand raised last year are now 7 months old. No more cats for me, they're bringing out a new law that will restrict people to 2 cats and/or dogs and force you to have your animals spayed or neutered and if you have more than 2 after the law comes in they'll remove the animals and fine you.

Don't you just wish they were that strict on parents with too many kids who can't take care of them?

Oh those poor cats. I have 5 and I tell you it gives me nightmares thinking about putting my babies in any kind of quarantine or catery when it comes to moving. I'd pine for them as much as they'd pine for me. When we moved we moved the cats last and used 2 cars and had them on the backseat. Lucky for me my cats like being in the car. We kept the bedding on the bed that they had slept on so that they had their scent in the new place. Oh and watch out, all my cats went and marked territory when they got here the male and the females.

Lwyer jokes for you:

Q: Why don't sharks eat lawyers?

A: Professional courtesy.

My sister laughed her ass off when I told her that and she's a lawyer.

Q: What does it mean if you have 100 lawyers buried up to their necks in in sand.

A: You don't have enough sand.

Q: What do you call 100 lawyers on the bottom of the ocean

A: A very good start.

Sorry to say your team is out of the cricket! My team isn't looking to good right now. They still go through even if they lose today's match but it's not a good omen. The team has quite a reputation for being "chokers" at those crucial times and the fans are hoping they turn that around and don't choke in this competition but I doubt it.

I feel for you and the frustration. Even though hubby and I moved straight in we just didn't feel like the place was home till we were unpacked and settled down.  I can't imagine living out of a suitcase for that long, I hope the time goes by quickly for you guys. I know my hubby would be as cranky as hell if he didn't have all his things and his own bed.

Thanks for thinking of me. Our next airshow is November then the big one in 2010. I can't wait to wear my SEAL t-shirt.

I've never been one for rugby but it's a case of if you can't beat them join them with me. Since everyone else watches I join in and watch. I find great fun in cheering for the opposing team. Hubby's been watching baseball lately, he cheers for the New York Yankees.

Le Mans was quite exciting this year, even the commentators remarked that the guys behaved like they were in a 2hr F1 race not a 24hr endurance race. The injured driver is reported to be conscious with no serious injuries but it was one hell of a crash. I feared the worst, the car just disintegrated but it was designed to do that. I feel like hell this morning, I slept 10 hrs but that doesn't make up for being awake for 36. Hubby's making coffee right now. Glad he's on a day off.

Sorry to say NZ lost by 6 wickets. SA won their match. The All Blacks only lost by 5 points.

Hubby says he still needs therapy for all the setting up he did in March. I had him drilling holes and putting up 9 shelves, 5 of which are 8 feet long.

All the cars I'm cheering for in Le Mans have had issues and 2 of them crashed out in spectacular fashion. Do you watch Grey's Anatomy? is it shown on TV in NZ.

J, going to have a good weekend. I'm watching the Le Mans 24hrs car race. A little sad the shuttle launch is scrubbed for today.

Hubby is under the misguided belief I'm going to let him watch the rugby later. He's at work right now so he's missing the cricket, SA is playing the Windies and after them NZ plays Pakistan. Good luck to both our teams.

I know the important papers are somewhere I packed them safe for a reason. LOL, Nothing got broken in the move which is quite a surprise but then I did have all my boxes marked with death threats and we did the move with only family helping. All my books traveled well, I had Lone Survivor wrapped in bubble wrap.

I've also been doing some shopping for things I need and want. Got a new microwave and electric frying pan. Also got a coffee perculator. Got a new bed as well. We bought wooden shelves and built me a shelf unit on my desk. It looks pretty awesome, I'm thinking of posting a picture in my gallery of what my desk looks like, it'll be conclusive proof I'm just a little nuts.

Have a good weekend.

Things are busy as usual but I would probably be bored if it wasn't. The oldest will be starting a summer reading progam the week after school gets out(end of June) and all three of the kids will be starting music lessons the first week of July. Unfortunately my city public workers are on strike and have been for the last 2 months, this means all parks are uncared for, no garbage pick and all community centres are closed. I am having a real hard time trying to figure out what else to do to keep them entertained for the 2 months they are out of school.

You must be missing your kitties so much, my baby Pinky(the one we kept from the litter) turns 1 tumor. I think we are going to through him a little bday party, how pathetic is that.

Girl SA was playing England in the cricket and we kicked butt!! Hubby says I would be considered a traitor since I'm British by birth but was cheering for SA. I told him I'll keep all my cheering for England for the Ashes when they need it most.

I don't envy you living out of a suitcase, I'm still unpacking boxes and I tell you it gets very annoying when you are looking for something. The only down side to all the downsizing I did is that I burnt a whole stack of old bills, accounts and receipts and somewhere in the pile was the current TV license. So I'm going to have to get that replaced. Oh and I hate changing address, it's such a headache having to contact everyone I know and all the accounts and making sure they get the change right. I'm still in 2 minds about changing address on my ID book, it's such a mission. Hubby has to get his drivers license done to. I feel sorry for military families who do this whole moving and address changing on a regular basis.

I still don't like flying but it's quicker than having to drive and I love the driving.  It's peaceful and quiet and allows for plenty of time for thinking things through without distractions.  I also just realized this is my 7th trip in 14 months...wow!  No wonder I hate the packing and unpacking...that is the worst.  Now I'm trying to figure out what to wear to this shindig on Saturday.  Leaving and coming home are the easy part.  Oops...gotta order my limo pick-up for tomorrow morning...catch up with ya later!

Thank you, yes I am doing fine and appreciate all of the support that has been sent my way.  Thank you too for the encouragement and well wishes.  Now is good time to extend the support to all those young men who are trying to decide if the SEAL Challenge is right for them.  Your support only adds to the confidence that is greatly needed to succeed in life and the Navy Challenge.

Hi back! So, I didn't spend a week in SD like my gf's Shar and Kaleigh but I was there for a few and had a great time with them.

Congrats on the move-I enjoy having something different to look forward too. So when is the move in date? Is this a new construction or "new to you and the hubby?" What is life like in the capitol city of Wellington? It looks gorgeous. Wellington Harbour from Mount Victoria from the images I can see on-line. What progress have you made on your book?

1. When it comes to the USA my heart is set on San Diego but honest to God I will take anywhere on the continent. When the time comes it will all be down to where hubby can get a job, unless we strike it lucky and win the lottery then we'll get to choose. I have a friend who's hoping I'll make Florida my home and that will be first choice if we can't have SD. But that's 3 yrs away yet and I'm not thinking too far ahead, it only causes heart ache but it doesn't stop me keeping an eye on things and the reecent move has helped me downsize all the stuff I have and get an idea of what will go with us and what will be sold. I cannot believe some of the stuff I've collected over the years.

The biggest headache we will have is our 5 cats but we'll cross that bridge when the day arrives.

2. Ah the cricket! Yep I'm watching Oh that game between NZ and SA was a nail biter. I know it wasn't too important who won because both teams are already through but holy cow 4 runs needed from 1 ball. I was sitting there with my eyes closed going "Not a 4 or 6, please not a 4 or 6". I find the 20/20 and the ODI's far more entertaining than the 5 day games. I just hope the weather over there clears up, it's supposed to be summer in the UK. If NZ faces Australia I will be cheering for NZ. I've just never liked Australia in sports.

Hey Lady I was just thinking how I haven't talked to you in ages your ears must have been ringing. Wow that is a big move hopefully there were some added bonuses in the new job that made it worth the move. I am good just trying to stay sane till Sept. when all the kids will be in school(I really can't wait). Hubby is still living out of town M-F and home on weekends so between kids and dogs sanity is a precious commodity. As Shar mentioned we just spent a week out in beautiful Cali and I can't wait until next year since we are going to make it an annual Ladies week. Hope you get into your house soon, its no fun living out of a suitcase, you need that space you call your own.

Hiya J!  I feel for ya girl.  I spent last week out in SD and I am headed to the East Coast tomorrow for the weekend.  I'm tired of packing and unpacking suitcases...not fun at all!  The traveling has been great so I guess one washes out the other.  Great news on the move for you and C.  Be patient, things have a way of working themselves out.

Hello! Well as you know it's winter and a pretty wet one so far for us. Hubby and I moved into a new place in March. Mostly I'm just getting along and living each day. The heart and mind are counting down the next 3 yrs and reminding me to stay out of trouble and be a good girl. Don't want to do anything that could jeapordize a Visa and passport.

Oh and I got a new PC :) My one just fried it's motherboard 2 months ago, thank god I had a laptop, being without a PC and the internet for 3 weeks would have been unbearable torture for me.

All in all I'm doing good and this coming weekend I have my 2nd favorite motor sports event to watch on TV, now all I need is for summer to hurry up and get here.

I've been hacking as well...my head off from a cold I picked up along with a nasty bug somewhere between AZ and home earlier this month.  Felt like a Mac truck ran over me for the last 5 days...luckily today was the first day I've felt somewhat "normal".  Spring is in the air here in the Chi Town area...that is for sure!

That is a bit on the warm side and I'd be drinking as well trying to stay cool.  Unfortunately as I'm sure you already know, it is another cold weekend where I'm at.  Wind chills will be anywhere from -15 to -20 again.  I came down with a cold yesterday and all I want to do is stay inside in bed.  But, I will have to be out in this garbage on Sunday for a baby shower...yuck!!!

Excellent news on the possible trip here to the states in June.  Keep me posted on the details.  I'll keep good thoughts that it works out for you!

Hiya J!  I was so frustrated yesterday when I was on my way home from having my hair cut and dyed.  I go right past a huge forest preserve and I saw the most unusual thing.  I went to pull over and reached for my camera; which is always in my car, to take the picture for you.  I forgot that I had used it for some after pics and never put it back in my car.  It would have been a perfect shot for you.  We are expecting another snow storm that will hit during the wee hours and last through Saturday.  I will make sure that I take some pics and email them off to you.  TTYS ~Shar

It has to be painful to have your ideas-story distributed before it's ready. Intellectual theft is something we're going to hear a lot more about and precedents will be set in courts around the world. So what else is new?

The baby focus in Breaking Dawn was a little yucky at times. Then initally I thought the relationship between Jacob and the baby seemed weird. I agree Twilight was a great book. Have you read Midnight Sun-Twilight from Edwards perspective? I was reading the controversy that surrounded the 5th book and then read the unfinished version in a PDF file...I was hooked and had to buy the series. So I fell into it backwards but it turned out good.
