I'm not sure what sort of piece of mind she is going to get by talking to someone. Hopefully she does find some sort of closure I couldn't imagine being in her shoes.

I guess you don't believe in miracles and what a shame it's! You have no idea, what Jews go through daily or Christians therefore,it's another person spreading hopelessness, speaking for a woman and not knowing her.

I think you making an important point Josh.  Watching her son being tortured left a deep and permanent scar.   I don’t know if anything can help her understand why. I doubt there is a good answer for why.  Perhaps her faith can help her understand that he is still here for her.  If she to looks into her heart, she will find him.  There just aren’t any good answers.

Yea I agree with you on that Courtenay. The one thing about that situation that is different than so many of the others that have gave the ultimate price though is that she actually saw on tv her son being tortured. I think it would be a lot different for her if she hadn't saw that. Seeing is believing.

I can imagine being in her shoes....well, close anyway.  I think about losing my son a lot.  No one should outlive their children, it isn't the natural order of things.  Or at least how the natural order seems it should be.  But there is a reality when you have a child who chooses a job which has inherent dangers as her son did.  They may die.  If it happens, it will be ugly and tragic and bring you to your knees.  That is just how it IS.  People seem to want to place blame, find "answers" as if it will somehow take away the pain.   Each grieves in their own way, and I am in no position to tell this mother, or any other mother how to grieve.  However, the search for blame or answers when you have lost your child when they were doing a job, which was dangerous as his was......seems a bit crazy to me.  I am not sure that I understand her.  It is sad she lost her son.  But, he is the one that lost his life, his future.  He's gone now.  THAT is sad.  One day hopefully she'll heal.  Or at least understand that everything doesn't have to be assessed blame.
