Desert Patrol Vehicle (DPV)
The Desert Patrol Vehicle (DPV) is a Naval Special Warfare (NSW) mobility asset. It is a high-speed, lightly-armored vehicle first used in the Gulf War in 1991. The first U.S. forces to enter Kuwait City on the day it was liberated were U.S. Navy SEALs in DPVs. The vehicles have a range of 200 miles, and speed in excess of 60 mph. They are typically armed with a heavy .50 caliber M2 Browning machine gun, two 7.62mm machine guns, and two AT4 anti-armor rocket launchers.
